Winter has crept up on me
Wrapped its cold icy hands
around my heart.
Life has taken me for a long ride lately
and I am just exhausted.
When I cant breathe like this
and time gives me space
I find myself here
Soaking up the silence.
If only I could stop time
Frozen.
Its these moments that I take with me
Until the next opportunity
I can escape
From being swept along in life’s wake.
It feeds my soul with something
I can’t touch
Its intangible.
A strength and determination
A light
That glows
From the inside out.
